Proudly hailing from Kirikiriroa, Katchafire has become a global roots reggae phenomenon.
With six albums to their name, the eight-piece all Maaori band are a staple on the global Pacific Roots scene, sharing stages with the likes of Damian Marley, UB40 and The Wailers.
In 2025 the band will celebrate 28 years of existence by revisiting their debut album Revival.
Originally recorded in 2000, the album features some of their most beloved songs including Seriously, Giddy Up and Collie Herb Man. The forthcoming Reviving Revival will include remixes and songs re-recorded with a host of special guests.
“Katchafire just keep coming up with goods. Their songwriting ability over the years has become second-to-none and time has allowed them to develop older songs to a point of perfection.” - Artshub (Australia)
“The band has matured into one of the most cherished, original live reggae bands in the world.” - The Brag (Australia)
