After electrifying sets at WOMAD Aotearoa and CubaDupa, Black Comet bring their intergalactic modern funk to the Surrealist Garden.

Founded by Ninja and Laughton Kora (Kora, L.A.B, Fly My Pretties), this multi-dimensional collective delivers groove-driven music infused with vivid storytelling. Laughton’s theatrical flair fuels the band’s high-energy, precision-tight funk, alongside Dan Antunovich on bass, Poihakena Reid on keys, sax, and talkbox, and Adam Tobeck on drums.
